Pitch Shift Function of the SP-808
Creating chords
The SP-808 makes it possible to create pitch shifted samples without touching the length of the sample. This is a cool way to create chords with a vocal.
I’ve created a video where I explain how to create these chords. For sure you will recognise the used vocal, which came from an old Zero-G sample CD.
Pitch Shift Function Note Range
In the Pitch shift parameters menu of the SP-808 you can choose numbers from -12 until +12. Down below you see the corresponding notes. Let me make clear that your sample is value number 0 and not C. This is just a guidance to create your own chords.
For a C Minor chord you pitch shift the samples to the following numbers: Original sample + Pitch Shifted 3 + Pitch Shifted 7
For a A Major chord you pitch shift the samples to the following numbers: Pitch shifted -3 + Pitch Shifted +1 + Pitch Shifted 4
And so on!

hola , muy bueno todo el material que subís!
te quiero hacer una consulta, me estan funcionando mal los potes (mid,high,low)
alguna ves desarmaste, o sabes si es fácil acceder a ellos para limpiar o cambiar ? se cambian solo los parametros

A ver…yo abrí mi SP-808 para limpiarlo bien. Es bastante fácil. Tienes que tener tiempo para hacerlo, eso si.
Son un par de placas para sacar antes de llegar a los potes.
Cambiarlos me parece más complicado porque no tengo experiencia en soldar.
Pero, espera…explícame…se cambian solo los parámetros, dices. Entonces funcionan pero no influyen el sonido? O te entendí mal?
Mira, si vas a limpiarlos asegúrate que no toques este parte de electricidad. Logico, pero mejor darte este aviso en vez de decir nada 😉
