RGB Scart cable for Roland Samplers

RETRO COMPUTER SHACK

On eBay I came across a RGB Scart cable for Roland samplers. Well…the vintage ones like the S-20, S-50, S-220, S-330, S-550, S-760 and the S-770. I was still using a simple Composite cable which was working okay but having all in colour would be terrific, not? So I ordered the nice priced cable and waited just a few days.

Today it arrived already while I bought it last week. Well….6 days ago to be honest. And for your idea…I live in Spain and the seller in the UK. So delivery a big thumps up. What also surprised me was how it was packed and sent.

Nice to receive a package like this!

GOLD PLATED CONNECTOR

After opening the package I realised immediately that this was created by a real pro. You feel the quality of the RGB cable and  both connectors. This Ian is more than a hobbyist. Thank God! Nice detail is the sticker which says : MADE IN BRITAIN. Being proud is always good.

The SCART connector is gold plated and the cable length is 2 meters which is very nice because you can put your sampler in a rack and it’s not necessary to have the screen close to it.

After unpacking I connected the RGB cable and booted up the television + the S-330. I waited a few seconds and my eyes started to glow bright like the colours on my screen. Already the start up screen contained 4 colours. Man….this is going to be amazing, I thought!

The system started and a clear blue sky was shining into my studio. Take a look for yourself at the results below 🙂

Now first reorganise my studio and then I will fire up the Director-S software. Can’t wait to get started 🙂 If you have a question, you can leave it here below or send me an email : info@rogermooze.com
